Pirate on 6950 AM in Europe strong...

Radio Voyager.....

I had a fair carrier on 6950 from 2008 UTC until 2019 UTC but there was no detectable audio. Just checked at 2045 and I have nothing there now.

The SDR in Ireland had Audio with ID of Radio Voyager with Hotmail but unable to get main E-MAIL info just @HOTMAIL.com... Signed off at 3:40 Central US Time or 20:40 UTC

Listening from the Murray Harbour North, PEI DXpedition site and noted this week pirate in AM, exact frequency being 6949.934. They signed off in English giving an email address as possibly Radio Dorothy at hotmail.com. Ring any bells with anyone. Possibly a Europirate rather than a N American pirate.

Sounded like Radio Voyager as I heard it clear on a remote SDR....

Listening again, you are correct! Thanks for the correction. Europirate, I'm assuming. Off at 20:45 UTC.

Radio Voyager heard here since 1631 UTC, was fair (with Halloween programme)
then faded down in the noise around 1920 UTC,
and is now strong (+peaks !! ) at 2150 UTC, exact frequency is 6949,95
edit : fading down slowly after 2300
-
Not quite as strong as earlier, but still audible at 2212z.
-
Fades but when signal is coming through good reception
2214z Unid song - piano/keyboard significantly backing singer
-
They must be back again at 22:13 tune in with a very strong signal. Frequency is identical to the positive Radio Voyager ID before going off the air at 20:45. Beautiful piano music now at 22:15 (not very Halloweeny, though!). Best on our 100 deg 2000' Beverage antenna. Thanks!
Yes, Radio Voyager ID in Italian just before Radio Voyager at 22:19.[/img]
-
Thank you to canswl for the heads up. Doing nicely on same antenna from where I sit, across the table from him. Played B.B. King's "Please Send Me Someone To Love" at 2220 UTC.
-
2249 music
23012 steady signal here - lot of qrm makes it tough to ID
-
Fair signal with light pop. The R8's dumb sync detector can't lock on. Hearing some pescadores on the frequency, too. Song with flute now. Thanks to Chris for moving this here--not used to hearing Europirates in this neck of the woods

Captain is very happy. ;)
