Title: Three Changes Noted in the Turkey Schedule
Post by: VK3BVW on November 05, 2017, 1026 UTC
5970   TURKEY. VoT - Emirler. French to WEu at 2115 until s/off 2125, NF (ex 9635). Fair to weak signal, Nov 4.

9410   TURKEY. VoT - Emirler. English programming at 0405, Does not seem to be listed in their current schedule. I suspect it is being beamed to NAm. However, some lists are showing 6125 to NAm at 0400. This frequency choice clashes badly here at Mount Evelyn with BBC-Al Seela's English to the ME also on 9410 at this time, the two stations being heard at equal strength. Nov 5.

15235   TURKEY. VoT - Emirler. This is listed as Turkish at 0610, but it sure doesn't sound like it! Talks (news?) at 0605, ID at 0615, into music at 0618. The language sounds more like Swahili or similar African language. Weak signal Nov 5.

Thanks for this find. I can testify that there's nothing, not even a trace of a carrier, present on 6125 at 0400 for the week that b17 has been on. I will look for 9410 tonight, although I'm not hopeful for a good copy because 31m from Europe has not been particularly good at that hour.
