Title: Chirpy dasher 13561.3 1754 UTC 10 Dec 2017
Post by: ChrisSmolinski on December 10, 2017, 1759 UTC
This just faded in. I suspect this is a real beacon vs RFI, due to the chirp. The period seems to be about 4 seconds.

Now at 2001z, dits on 13559.3 kHz. not sure if beacon or just random RFI, they look clean. And now a minute later, gone.

In the past, I've heard similar chirps at regular intervals. It seems like they should be a beacon, but there is no obvious indication. Quite often they were strong enough to be audible, not just a Spectrum Lab trace.

The signal is still going strong at 13559.3 kHz, as of 00.20 UTC.

Give it a listen to here (http://tokenradio.proxy.kiwisdr.com:8073/?13559.30usb).

Yes, I have it on 13559.33 (AirSpyHF+ which is not GPS locked, so no idea yet how accurate it is). Dits every 3 or 4 seconds.

Several curious signals on 22m around local noon:

A dasher is fading in and out around 13558.2 kHz.

I also saw another (weaker) with a chirp around 13562 (did not note the exact frequency before it faded out).

Double dits on 13556.4 kHz. Not sure if it is supposed to be an I, as the spacing between the dits seems a little variable.
