Sorry I wasn't around to catch the transmission. Some interesting history here, I was an avid listener to WNBC. By what everyone is describing, the clips must have been among the last broadcasts on WNBC. Those call letters were last used Oct. 1, 1987 when the station became WFAN.

CT Yankee, I think it was October 1988, and some of the news items would place this broadcast sometime in 1988.

Refmo - My advanced age is blurring my recall, you are correct, WFAN started (on 1050) in 1987 - they went to 660 in October 1, 1988. (A Mets pre-game show vs. the Cards in the NLDS to which I listened as they switched - Mets missed the playoffs in '87)
