Title: signal identity
Post by: sierra-victor on March 30, 2018, 0128 UTC
looking for some help identifying a broadcast.

Last night, @10:00pm ET I caught a broadcast on 4065 USB.

I could make out "This is Canada" followed by music and then "This is Canada" and continually repeated and every so often the same in french.
Then what sounded like an old radio show...  I've searched around and can't seem to find anything about it.

All help is appreciated, Thanks.

It was this:

What you describe hearing was the old Radio Canada International interval, which was followed by the audio of a film called "Spectres of Shortwave" which was about the Sackville transmitter site used by RCI.

Thank you very much, I just happened to flip on the radio for a second on a sleepless night and it was tuned to exactly 4065 and was the first thing i heard.  I've never heard anything there before and caught me by surprise.   :o
