Americans across the country are feeling the effects of high gas prices and our need to expand domestic oil production.
John McCain says we need offshore oil drilling and we need it now. Senator Barack Obama has consistently opposed offshore drilling - calling it a "gimmick." Senator Obama's solution to high gas prices is telling Americans to make sure their tires are inflated.
Today, I'm asking for your help in putting Senator Obama's "tire gauge" energy policy to the test. Doesn't Obama want to mandate 25% of energy from renewable sources? Yet McCain wants to use the old fossil fuels.

I do not pretend to grasp the subtleties of tire pressure. But as a master of the Perpendicular Universe I recognize a fellow traveler.

I find it both interesting and sad. McCain and his surrogates dismiss such a simple part of the solution. If tires are properly inflated that increases fuel efficiency up to 3%. But don't take my word for it...things like tune-ups, proper oil type etc. help with fuel efficency, which in turn helps with conservation. But the thing about the off-shore drilling issue I find the most disturbing is that McCain was against off-shore drilling until June 16....six days after receiving a sizable donation from the minions of Hess Oil Company to his Presidential campaign. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/#26045627
However, this is a candidate that doesn't know Shiite from Sunni and still believes that the country of Czechoslavakia exists.
