My S meter is lower than yours, but I'm more than 2,500 km from Athens ;-)

thanks for the signal report dear friends! :)
You're welcome! Out of interest, how much power are you using and what type of antenna, my friend?
-
2049 music, more in the "Radio Harmony" mood
'Signal just S5, some atmo crashes. (I'm at about 2400 km from Athens)
-
The transmitter is a homemade 2x6146b,and the antenna is a 47m longwire ,7m the vertical section, and the rest 40m spread horizontally at 15 m from the ground, the same antenna i use some times at the mw band 1620-1700 khz for speaking with others Greece pirates, some pics here https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,41943.0.html
best regards from Greece!

oh sorry,110 watt power output :)
-
2130 UTC Carrier noted already here with just an occasional hint of audio at threshold
2140 UTC There is also a weak carrier on 7727 khz, so I had to switch to LSB for Zeppelin. Still a bit early but I can hear hints of music real low in the noise
Hi Zeppelin Radio! Sunset here on the East Coast is 2349 UTC, so grayline reception is still a ways off....I'll be checking in until I can ID some songs! :)
Hi Ether Hacker! He's made it into the east coast here a few times already! At least twice with a fairly good signal too!
2221 UTC "Ode to Billie Joe"Bobbie Gentry :)
2235 UTC "The Weight"-The Band
(Reception conditions not very good today.....signal is hanging right at the noise floor)
2245 UTC "Crimson and Clover"-Tommy James & Shondells
2250 UTC "Jennifer Eccles"-Hollies
2256 UTC "Something's Happening"-Hermans Hermits
2307 UTC Maybe OM talking now....tough copy here
(Signal is buried in the noise now....not much chance of hearing more :( )
Thanks for the broadcast today Zeppelin Radio!
