Title: 11m is hopping.
Post by: MDK2 on June 30, 2018, 1606 UTC
6/30/18, 1605 UTC, as copied from Denver. Too much happening to know what's coming from where, but someone from Tampa FL is on 27.185 (cb channel 19).

Man!!!! I hate that when folks talk skip on CH19, when I'm trying to monitor where all the idiots have wrecked on the 4-lanes here. BTW, being in Denver, are you able to hear WWV on 20MHz and 25MHz there? Or, are you too far from Ft Collins to have direct wave come to you from there? Where I am in WV, seems to be a direct "E" skip pipeline from TX. That 10M FM 29.660-/R Dallas / Ft Worth machine comes in quite a bite over my scanner with just an indoor whip. That tells me when 6M, and maybe FM BC, is really open.

Denver is just a bit too far south to catch those frequencies, at least if you're talking city limits. I recently tested this out when I went to a nursery that's right on the edge of the north city line, about a mile north of the I-25/I-70 junction. I'm not sure where the exact circumference line is where all their groundwave signals dependably reach, but it can't be much further north.
