Title: Radio True North 6925 AM
Post by: Zoidberg on April 08, 2011, 0247 UTC
4/8/11
6924.6 AM
0210z: Radio True North, Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly songs.  Fair to good signal via remote tuner in Colorado, just a carrier here at home.  Very crashy conditions, lots of fading.
0330z: Outdoors with barefoot Sony ICF-2010, able to copy music but not enough to ID anything.  Steady carrier but very crashy and fadey conditions.

Still going strong here after 0400UT, but the distorted IDs are useless on HF too much QRN, QSB. Cute IDs like that would work on noise free FM not on AM mode 6925kHz.

email radiotruenorth@hotmail.com given during IDs

Asked for reception reports, gone at 0438UT

Thanks for the heads up guys.  Was running 40 watts low power.  Wish I had more people on the left side.  Will get an EQSL off to both of you in the next few days...Nice to be known that I am being heard.  Its been a long time and I will try to be more frequent.

Sat_dxer,  If condx are crappy local to your own radio the global tuners site can allow you to at least hear the station. A courtesy to the pirate is to mention where the remote radio was located (if not heard on your own) , so that the op can gain some sense of "where" the signal actually reached.
