Absolutely CRUSHING signal here. S-9 with strong modulation, a very theatrical sounding male voice reading some serious sounding stuff. Into a different program, somewhat weaker at S-5 with lots of echo making for difficult copy.

Could hear a het, and audio now and then, but not enough to make a positive id.

From what I understand, the moisture in the atmosphere from all of the thunderstorm activity causes the radio waves to speed up, making them harder to capture.

Same here on the left coast a tone es weak audio Doc...

cw id @0305UT following what sounded like a President Kennedy speech..

QRN & audio at the same level...
A jump in the x-ray flux since 0200UT is underway..
