Relay Station pirate station 6880 kHz 6.880 MHz AM mode hi-fi broadcast quality AM
1600 UTC - tuned in remotely using Chris' SDR - the usual 18-20 kHz wide AM signal, S7 to S9 on peaks
1601 UTC - great broadcast quality AM audio - as usual - armchair copy
-
Per Chris tip, Relay Station heard 6880 AM from about 1610 with music, Sucker's Prayer by Decemberists, then Comeback Kid by Sharon Van Etten, then switch to Radio Illuminati at about 1618 UTC. Huge signal.
Receiver used: NRD-515 with Wellbrook 1530, ANC-4 noise suppresser
Hope for eQSL from you guys here...thanks in advance..

1637 S3-5 Huey Lewis and the news/ walking a thin line

Thanks for WOTW this perfect fall evening TRS , much enjoyed . Had it in the end on the Grunow 1067 for authenticity!
Good stuff

an issue i have to solve is the audio output buffer under-run every 3-5 minutes (heard as breaking up sound) - really annoys me but at least its showing up now to be corrected later.

Good signal in New Hampshire, S7-S9
1842z CS&N - Long Time Gone
1846z "This is Radio Ronin Shortwave"
1847z Elton John - Madman Across The Water
1853z Ronin ID (signal took a big dive down into the noise, still a bit of music and carrier in there)
1858z Some CW, tough copy, included "Thanks to Radio Illuminati..."
1900z Op talking, no copy
1901z SSTV, enough signal to sync but too noisy to tell what it is
1920z More SSTV's - too weak to make out images
-

While I was to late to hearWar of the Worlds, tonight is the 80th anniversary of the first broadcast by Orson Welles. I have a feeling their will be more broadcasts of it tonight.

Caught part of the War of the World broadcast. Excellent signal but a bit fluttery with kinda weird propagation. Thanks for the show!
