Anyone hearing us tonight? We are testing a new xmitter....cheers OLAH
-
You need to move Frequencies because of the OTHR Interfering.
-
Bugger...we only have on X Mit crystal for this old beast....We'll try again another night.
-
Radio Ga-Ga used 6930 USB until the OTHR started then they switched to 6920 USB.
-
Thanks...not hearing OTHR here - oh well. Well make sure all the gear is working then shut it down. New xmitter for this year and new audio gear. Good time to work the kinks out.
-
If you're still on, I'm not hearing you. I've been listening to 6930 the past few min. No OTHR in that time
-
The OTHR keeps going on and off so maybe monitor http://radiodxing.ddns.net:8073/?f=6930.00amz10 (http://radiodxing.ddns.net:8073/?f=6930.00amz10) for an opening which is now.

We're live now....low power though as the antenna is not 100%. Thanks!

OTHR is back on.

Thanks! We'll play around here for a bit then call it a night. We regained access to our xmit site today but the old antennas were damaged - all new assembled and installed in three hours. Cheers and happy radio!

The OTHR is strongest in Indiana. http://38.86.67.206:8078/?f=6930.00amz8 (http://38.86.67.206:8078/?f=6930.00amz8)

We'll shut it down and call it a night...we have to hoist the antenna up another few feet and clean up the power connections. Thanks for your tips and see you later.....Buck

The OTHR is doing 4 Min Cycles so it will be best to transmit from 0001-0004 then 0008-0012 and so on.

I've been hearing carriers on 6930. So far, I've heard about 3 or 4, about 5-10 seconds in length over about the past 5 min. They wouldn't be strong enough for me to hear audio, but I have the receiver in USB, so they're fairly easy to hear that way. Not sure if it's you or someone else

If you run a DDS VFO with a voltage amplifier on the output to increase the drive you can connect it to the crystal socket with a bypass capacitor. This will allow you to go to any frequency. I have mine set to about 30 volts PEP drive off the DDS. This works great on older vacuum tube transmitters or any crystal controled transmitter.
