Title: Rádio Voz Missionária 5940 AM 0015 UTC 9 Nov 2018
Post by: Treehouse SWL on November 09, 2018, 1841 UTC
Rádio Voz Missionária with a male voice doing some fiery preaching in Portuguese, followed by contemporary religious music (I checked this against the station’s online stream to confirm). The signal was weak, but mostly clear of splash from WWCR on 5935 kHz. There was some fading and atmospheric hiss, but very audible reception; SINPO 23332.

Question: www.short-wave.info lists Voz Missionária on this frequency as using just 500 watts. Is that really true?

I also tuned in the station's parallel frequency of 9665 kHz at 0028 UTC, which had a slightly stronger signal that was affected by interference—in the form of a loud hum and interference whistle—from KCBS Pyongyang.
