There obviously was a reception path of some sort between North America and Sri Lanka today. I caught this same broadcast, though earlier in the hour, and was surprised at how relatively strong it was -- to the point where I was double-checking schedules to make sure this wasn't coming from China instead of AWR via Trincomalee.

When I tuned in at 2120-2128 UTC, it sounded like a male preaching in Chinese. The signal was fair bordering on good, but there was an annoying interference whistle and moderate fading, along with daytime atmospheric noise. Overall, though, a very fair signal for this station.
