Title: Engineering Radio Blog - Spy Numbers
Post by: Zane on September 21, 2011, 1459 UTC
Engineering Radio is one of my favorite blogs. It's well written and I've learned quite a bit from Paul's various entries.
This morning he has an interesting discussion on spy numbers (http://www.engineeringradio.us/blog/2011/09/conet-project/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+EngineeringRadio+%28Engineering+Radio%29). Even if you've been chasing these stations for years, Paul's experiences during his military stint in Guam make it an interesting read.

Yup, great blog, and Paul has a knack for clarifying technical issues.

Another excellent source for info, particularly on FCC activity in free radio (mostly FM), is John Anderson's DIYmedia.net (http://diymedia.net/) site.  I've had his news page (http://diymedia.net/archive/)  bookmarked via RSS feed for a few years now, and he updates it a few times a month with recent news regarding FCC enforcement, regulation, policy and related issues.
