Title: UNID 6924.7am
Post by: Zane on September 24, 2011, 2043 UTC
Been hearing a station since 2000z. After a tune-up, into mostly what sounded like various styles of dance music. Nice AM
signal with wide audio. There's been a couple of ID's, neither of which were very clear. The second ID came at 2034z and it
sounded like WRFM or WRF.... The letters of the ID were spoken at the same time as a beat from music making more difficult to
pull out. SINPO 35322. S7 on peaks with deep fades down to S1 and moderate noise. Some reference to "Family Radio" too.

2042z - Tom Jones - It's Not Unusual
2055z - An "Arrrrrgh" in pirate voice
2056z - Don Henly - Dirty Laundry
2101z - ID again. Maybe WRFP? "This is family radio" Seems like lots of echo on the ID's.
2104z - Laura Branigan - Self Control
2108z - Robyn - Don't Fookin' Tell Me What To Do
2117z - Big ass turd in the back seat of my '92 Accord. LOL!
2120z - It Began in Africa
2127z - Katy Perry - Firework
2129z - Another ID - bad timing with fades. Sonia Norwood talking about family radio.
2132z - off.

Thanks for the show. Listening to the recording, it sounds like WFMP or WFMT. The beats the coincide with the letters
of the callsign.

Big Ass Turd segment plus final ID

Please QSL.

Also hearing in in GA.very weak, but the carrier is easily detected. Bits of music as it pops up from the noise. 2104Z

S9 here until the solar flare hit, then it dropped to S1, and back again to S9 now. I could make out the "family radio" part of the ID, but not the full callsign.

Came in from combing a BA turd out of my dog's coat to hear final song and ID block.  Sounded like "WFMT" on a couple of plays of the tape.  Good sig and I got good audio here.
