He tried to break into the "New Wave" pile-up of the late 70's/early 80's with the name of "John Cougar". It didn't work, so he became a Springsteen imitator and stuck his actual last name on the end of "John Cougar". About the time of "Pink Houses" and his first heart attack he dropped the "Cougar". Either way, like his contemporary Bob Segar, he was just another hack trying to be the Boss. It didn't work for either of them.

Yes, Pigmeat, what I noticed, some rockers are like girls, for example: T REX. they look smaller than their so called girl friends. ;D
Others got a lot of male juices and they look like men, not girls. You got to give Jagger credit.. he has had a real LIFE ! Understand he had a new son about 3 years ago, but also got a heart valve inserted.
