In comeback bid, RadioShack partners with HobbyTown to sell electronics in 100 US stores

RadioShack is staging a comeback.

The 97-year-old toy company is bringing its signature electronics back to stores across America in a new partnership with HobbyTown after emerging from bankruptcy — for a second time — as a shell of its former self late last year.

The company, now owned by General Wireless Operations, is installing new RadioShack Express “stores” inside 100 HobbyTown locations, the companies announced Thursday.

In the past year we've got new Rat Shack. If it wouldn't have been for road work I would have hit it after I was done with an appointment, but knew if I went up that way, it would have been dark before I got home.

The couple who own it, have another one about 60 miles south. No guys trying to sell you phones, they're like the Shack's of my youth.

I'll have to check the local HobbyTown. That's where I used to get my gel cells for piratin'. Arrr!

Yeah, I recall you talking about getting into pirating someday. Too bad it didn't work out.

And just who relayed all those "Radio Al Fansome" shows for you, Mr. Spicoli-Fansome? Your short and long term memory is going from the things you did in your youth.

Wrecking a football stars Camaro while joyriding with his kid brother, smoking the Devils Lettuce while you were doing it. How did you two get it up on that warehouse loading dock you were speeding down before the wreck in the first place?

This is nice. When a man needs a LM348, a man needs an LM348.
