"Keeping my SWRs down" at 1415 UTC.  "I'd say everything looks fine"

Two OMs chatting about radio-related topics with some minor QRM from 27.125 MHz (channel 14) and 27.135 MHz (channel 15).  Very weak data bursts noted underneath one of the stations.  AM voice on 27.145 MHz - R/C frequency A channel +10 kHz channel.  27145 AM.

There are some regulars in the mid west who use 15A often. Hear them everytime conditions are good.

The A channels (RC channels) are actually pretty popular.  I’ve noticed truckers using 19A (27.195 MHz / 27195 kHz) in the past, have even heard operators using FM voice mode on 27.195.  27.045 MHz (channel 7A) is pretty close to the mess that is 27.025 MHz but I’ve also logged activity on 26.995 MHz (channel 3A).

It would appear there’s another sporadic-E opening in progress...according to DXMaps anyway, E-skip activity on 10 meters and 6 meters this morning.  That would mean that 11 meters / CB and VHF lowband 30-50 MHz are also open.

There used to be some FM walkie talkies on the "A" channels long ago. Don't think they were FCC approved as they didn't stay on the market long. I seem to believe that either Midland or Maxon made them.
