Title: WENO 6970 LSB 0022 UTC 10 AUG 2019
Post by: Skipmuck on August 10, 2019, 0024 UTC
0022 UTC Caught the tail end of what sounded like an ID, into "No One Receiving"-Brian Eno
0026 UTC OM with ID....WENO? Followed by unid audio skit with YL, OM, and background music (sounds like more Brian Eno type music)
0029 UTC OM with W-E-N-O echo ID, "We Know"-Over music
0031 UTC "RongWrong"-Phil Manzanera
0033 UTC OM with pro-done echo ID "W-E-N-O", into "Silver Morning"-Brian Eno
0036 UTC More ID"s, into a song that took shazam a dozen tries to come up with "The Belldog"-Eno Moebius Roedelius
0041 UTC OM with ID "Broadcasting from the Earth ? , this is WENO Shortwave", into "Some Words"-Brian Eno
0045 UTC OM with ID, into "Miss Shapiro"-Phil Manzanera
(Signal is now pushing S9!)
0049 UTC OM with "Thank you for listening...have a good earth day?...good night....and the next day...WENO Shortwave....just another day on earth...(ID over music, into "Just Another Day-Brian Eno")
0054 UTC "Diamond Head"-Phil Manzanera
(0058 UTC OM with "WENO Shortwave" ID over last song)
0100 UTC "No One Receiving"-Brian Eno
0103 UTC WENO ID by OM and OFF

Thanks for a unique show! Other than some Roxy Music, you just don't hear any Brian Eno or Phil Manzanera tunes on commercial or pirate radio....awesome!  8)

Here's a google drive link to my recording...made an adjustment to fine tune the frequency during the show...not the easiest music to fine tune in LSB!  ;D

If you do the QSL dance, I would greatly appreciate one for this show! Either way, would love to hear some future shows!

Excellent signal and good selection of music that is not common played on the radio. Thank you for the broadcast and 73's and PSE e-QSL. This is the first time that I heard your station. Good job.

Can you play Q'ran or America Is Waiting by Eno/Bryne

Heard from 0016 on the SDR recording
0016 Unshazamable instrumental rock music, SIO 111/222
0103 ID?
0108 More music heard, not sure if the same station, but still SIO 111/222 so I suspect so
0118 Nothing heard after this time.

I have a recording if the op is interesting in hearing how it came in here
