The weak carrier you detected on 6950 khz was Radio Parade International from the United Kingdom, then moved to 6960 khz, to avoid Radio Free Whatever, but conditions were not good enough for trans-Atlantic skip, in fact they are deteriorating now. Radio Parade might try again on 43m over the weekend... as we approach winter there should be better chances.

The weak carrier you detected on 6950 khz was Radio Parade International from the United Kingdom, then moved to 6960 khz, to avoid Radio Free Whatever, but conditions were not good enough for trans-Atlantic skip, in fact they are deteriorating now. Radio Parade might try again on 43m over the weekend... as we approach winter there should be better chances.
Thanks for the info Ether Hacker! It's been a long time since I heard Radio Parade Int'l! I am hopeful! :)
Sadly, conditions over here are less than optimal, as I can't hear Radio Free Whatever either! :(
