Title: Turtle Head Radio? 6925 LSB
Post by: Zoidberg on December 27, 2011, 0652 UTC
12/27/11, 6925 LSB, 0625z: Barely audible just briefly, heard what sounded like "Come On Eileen", Dexy's Midnight Runners, possible Turtle Head Radio ID, but very tough copy.

Hey, Sealord, did you have that in USB or LSB?  I think Textim mentioned hearing it on both sidebands, but I was able to copy only in LSB.  Seemed like a double sideband signal but no carrier.

Now I'm wondering whether I had the Palstar's sideband filter on narrow or wide.  With the R30C's Murata wide filter, sometimes I can hear both sidebands; with the Collins narrow filter, only one side is audible.

I had the receiver parked in USB mode for my overnight dragnet :)
