Title: Argyle Radio 6925 USB 2211 UTC Nov 26 2019
Post by: Ray Lalleu on November 26, 2019, 2215 UTC
on 6925 (heard in USB only)
2212 SSTV
2213 off

edit : maybe I could have get the SSTV better, but I was not ready and the SSTV was already at half of the image. I was ready for a second image, but the station went off.

Somewhat confusing...

The earlier transmission on 6925 was in AM mode and fairly strong here: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,60653.0.html

This transmission was in USB only, and extremely weak.

No ID on the first transmission. It could possibly have been Argyle Radio as well, of course.

The band had gone long, is my guess.

When I was lil' AM dx'er, Tomas Hood of "73 Magazine" had a bit of advice for us that's served me well over the decades, turn the radio's ferrite core in the opposite direction of your listening direction. If you're a roughly east-west dx'er, turn that radio to N-S position when the MW band is acting funny, and have your Spanish and Portuguese dictionaries ready.

Certainly a possibility, although it was just a few minutes between transmissions, and I did not notice any of the characteristic selective fading in the first (AM) transmission. But yes, it (and other propagation changes) can happen in a matter of minutes, so impossible to rule out.
