WPTX Lexington Park MD with a great all water path signal into Va Beach tonight, listening on a Hallicrafters S38 using what's left of the HF antenna at 0210 UTC playing the Carpenters Superstar , later into Gordon Lightfoot / Rainy day people and Bread/ Aubrey.
Some great old tunes esp nice to hear Bread over the air, who really never got full recognition during a time when a lot of rock was coming out -for their all but forgotten musically brilliant catalog of timeless , often sad, songs of unrequited love.
In my opinion.

Back in the early 70's if you wanted to lay claim on the inside line to your lady Du Jour just mention David Gates and ram a Bread 8 Track into your car stereo. Pretty low hanging fruit.

HAHA! Yes! Woo her with dulcet sound emanating from your 74 Pinto Pioneer Supertuner/8 Track combo!

I wanted to replace the KP500 of my youth, not sure what happened to it, but the few that turn up on epay they're asking $300 and not sure it works

Big signal on the car radio for a stretch this morning about an hour before sunrise here,
sounded like a local.
