Title: UNID data & Russian Volmet
Post by: Sealord on February 08, 2012, 1525 UTC
Tuning around last night I came across a couple of signals I haven't heard before and one that I hear off & on occasionally.

UNID Data 6835 USB 2201z-2202z 02-07-12

This one I've never heard before - sounds like some kind of data text mode (Hellschreiber-ish?) with a carrier.  At one point I locked onto the AM part of the signal, but could hear the 'scratchy' data part of the signal better in USB directly parked on 6835.  The carrier seemed to be ~ 750hz higher.

UNID Data_QRM(?) 6927 USB 2336z-2337z 02-07-12

I've been hearing this infrequently for some time - if it's QRM then it's specific to 6927 as when I'm parked on 6925 I can just barely hear it.  When I made this recording it sounded like the signal itself was having technical trouble at first.

Russian Volmet 6617 USB 0225z-0229z 02-09-12

This is another new one - Russian Volmet w/YL reading off info.  I like how it sounds like an old cassette being turned on at the begining of the broadcasts :)
