Title: 180+ European Radio Stations Play YNWA to Honor Healthcare Workers
Post by: Ct Yankee on March 20, 2020, 1610 UTC
Nice gesture by Dutch DJ to recognize the efforts by healthcare workers assisting those stricken.  "You'll Never Walk Alone" by Gerry and Pacemakers in 1963 was adopted by the Liverpool FC as the team's anthem, thus the sporting reference.  (Glad they didn't opt for Stoke City's Anthem of Tom Jones' "Delilah", don't ask me why. 🤷‍♂️). Kudos for the unifying use of radio to show gratitude to medical workers worldwide!

Just an oddly bizarre selection for a song to represent a men's soccer team, certainly not the camaraderie "YNWA" promotes. Could you imagine a sold out dome serenading the Indy Colts to it?  Not a horrible tune but an odd selection by Stoke.
