Title: WYFR Mix, 6960 and 6970
Post by: rdla4 on March 26, 2012, 2341 UTC
I note these fairly strong spurs when ever WYFR 6875 and/or 6915 is on the air. Seems to be coming from them almost every evening

I have wasted a fair amount of time on those two, hearing french, spanish, english on those signals.....They seem to come from the 6875 signal more than 6915.

4/2 A correction 6875 is WWCR, not WYFR

Ahh, it's not just me! I've been hearing this for a while as well. For a moment I was afraid someone had secretly switched my radio with one of RadSurfer's  ;D

Hmmmm, SMPS bleed through in their PA causing sidebands? ???

Peace!

They used to drive me crazy when I was actively pirating. I'd think it was a sideband op and wait for the frequency to come free. One night in the mid-00's I got a clear copy of what it was.

You can dodge them by signing on before or after they sign off/on,or move up a few khz.
