Title: Radio Eldorado 6985 USB 2318 UTC 10 July 2020
Post by: Skipmuck on July 10, 2020, 2321 UTC
2318 UTC I am hearing some very weak music deep in the static crashes here directly. Too low to ID the song, but I see the posting by Radio Eldorado in the broadcast announcements! If that is indeed you broadcasting at this time, then you are making it across the pond.
2337 UTC Still detecting some music deep in the static crashes
2344 UTC Shazam hit on this rap song playing
(https://i.imgur.com/dS1UF7X.jpg)
(There is a constant buzzing noise audible here also...sounds like a motorboat)
0000 UTC Sounds like "Eruption"-Van Halen  :)
(Ray, yes, a small airplane going overheard would make the sound I am hearing. Sadly, it makes for even more difficult copy here)
The static crashes over on this side of the pond are too bad now to hear anything further

If this is Radio Eldorado testing, it was a success! Thanks for the broadcast!

on 6985 USB
2337 "Tutti frutti", 2340 next, fair-good signal, but high unknown noise here
2355 same problem here, very bad noise around 6980 only, seems local, as it depends on antenna tuning. 2358 a sharp setting gives less noise, with maybe some other noise at lower level. Too bad !
Yes, like a motor noise, always at same rate (say like from a small airplane).
If this is really a radio wave at long distance, then I succeed (partly..) on changing the antenna pattern without a real canceler/phasing box.
0006 a fade of the music signal
0022 next pop-rock, then fading down, lost by 0028

hello friends. yes it was me. too bad about the static crashes and the motor noise interference, i also noticed it on the receiver.
let's hope tomorrow the frequency is clear and propagation is ok. thanks for taking your time listening in. i appreciate it.
i can use more power, and am, i know a bit of electronics and have built and tested a few am and dsb transmitters and a 150w mosfet amp.
but i cant use the amp atm, it needs some tlc. thanks again.

stay safe.

Don't try more power!
Just find a clear frequency, that's the way to a full success.
