Well, good for them, albeit that they are on the West Coast. http://www.radiosurvivor.com/2020/07/14/dx-adventures-at-1700/
Must be very different that what we hear on the East Coast.

As a West Coaster, I usually hear XEPE on 1700 kHz. I'll let the author of the article know they do indeed English music -- especially '80s tunes -- at night sometimes.
I also have heard KBGG out of Des Moines on that frequency. Overall, however, the X-band isn't very populated in this part of the country.

Well, you must have done so, since Radio Survivor just did a 'Follow-Up', http://www.radiosurvivor.com/2020/07/20/confirmations-of-1700-am/

WRCR in NY was the dominant station here on 1700 before it went silent. Now most nights KBGG "The Champ" sports-talker in IA is heard here in Michigan.
Can sometimes catch WEUP in AL quite clearly in the morning at their sunrise when they go to 10 kw. Have never been able to confirm the FL station or the TX stations.
