The Captain signing on with C&W style tune, IDs produced by Andre of Cool AM Radio. Poor conditions tonite, only SIO: 222
Ventura Highway at 0125. It Never Rains In Southern California came out in 1972 or 3 when I was in college and did receive a lot airplay at the time. I remember playing the 45 until it wore out.

ID's at 0118z
Then into 'Midnight Rider' by Allman Brothers
0123z - 'Ventura Highway' by America
0127z - 'It Never Rains in Southern California' by Albert Hammond (had to look that up, don't hear that song much now, but they sure had it on high rotation when it came out)
0130z - off briefly, then continued with the above song.
0133z - heard a brief bit of 'Wot' by Captain Sensible
0134z - ID's, then continued with more 'Wot'
0137z - 'Showdown' by ELO
0141z - 'Spirit In the Sky' by Norman Greenbaum
Off at 0146z. S8 here with frequent S9 static crashes from storms that went through earlier today.

SINPO 34333: Lots of noise/static. @0128utc - "It Never Rains in Southern California", TV themes (Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock) w/ pirate speak @0132; Captain Sensible's "Wot" @0134 broken by "Captain Morgan Shortwave" ID and email addy @0135; "Wot" continues; ELO's "Showdown" @0138 w/ static/noise picking up here; "Spirit In The Sky" @0141 followed by more TV themes @0145; Suddenly off(?) @0147 - Had to leave the room and didn't hear if it was only another extended pause in B/C as heard earlier.
