Receiving using the netSDR, running SdrDx software, through SoundFlower, into Dream.
Have any pirate ops considering running DRM? I assume you'd need a rig that could transmit at least a 10 kHz wide signal in SSB mode.

I'd love to try it, Chris. But with all the fading typical of my weak signals, I don't feel that it would be worth the trouble. Mebbe with a few kilowatts...

Agreed, a pretty solid signal would be required for DRM reception. I think it could be successful for those in the NVIS range of many ops, since daytime reception generally doesn't have as much of a problem with deep fading, etc. Nighttime would be trickier, although a few ops have a strong enough signal to possibly pull it off.
I chuckled at one of the comments on that you-tube link:
Digital Radio Mondiale provides a more robust and better signal that can easily overcome the problems of SW and night-time MW/LW fading and interference.
I wonder if that guy writes promotional copy for IBOC as well? :-)

I picked up Vaticano Radio last night local time...errrr uh, west of the Rockies, lets say. Wasn't even trying. Don't remember the frequ. though. Used primetimeshortwave data web site to verify. Don't think I ever caught them before. Almost forgot this xmit was not drm.
