Hearing something (code) on 13.541.34 but I just cannot pull enough of it out of the noise - utc 1744

Has anyone heard the "V V V V" beacon on 7002 lately? I don't think I've heard it in years and I'm afraid it's kaput.
-
You can regularly hear beacon "V" on 4150, 4961, 6809 or 3658 kHz. But not as often as before.

I was wondering specifically about 7002 kHz. It has been some years since I heard the V beacon on that frequency.
-
Yeah, that was years ago. I guess that they moved to 6809 and 4150 kHz. They popped up when 7002 kHz stopped. 6809 is not very often reported but 4150 is a regular guest. 3658 seems to be their fixed freq.

"C" 16332.0 - UTC 2243. Fairly good copy.

I'm new here, found this forum after doing a search on these beacons. I kept hearing some of them in the CW portion of the 40 meter ham band. I guess no one really knows what exact purpose these beacons serve?
On 8/28 logged the "K" beacon on 7039 khz, 1501-1549 utc., along with a lot of guys chanting something in Tagalog or Malay.
I also heard three or four single character beacons on 7039-7040 khz (my DX-398 only has one khz readout) on 8/21, around 1336 utc: "K", "F", "M", and what sounded like an "O" also. From doing a bit of net research, it seems there is no "O" on 7039. Maybe it was a misread. There were also a bunch of dudes chatting away in Tagalog on and near that frequency.
-
Hi Boombox,
I was told by a Russian naval officer that the beacons are propagation beacons. There is indeed no "O" but you might have heard "S" or "D"

Thanks for the information, Ary. It's much appreciated.
There are sure a lot of strange things that seem to happen in the 7 mhz range, and I hadn't heard any of those single letter beacons until earlier this summer. Probably just didn't pay that much attention to the CW portion of the 40 meter band, I guess.

Hearing the "K" beacon on 16332.2 at 0048Z 3/25/2013. Signal is 579.

Last night heard K, M, and a very weak F beacon, all on 13528 khz, 0713 UTC; and they were also present during recheck of frequency at 0741 UTC. Not on 40 meters, though. The first time I heard these single letter beacons there was a group of them on 7039 khz. Obviously 7 mhz just wasn't propagating to the West Coast from the Russian Far East at this time.
-
I heard what sounded like an "A" with a long dit, or perhaps a quick "M" in CW on 10126 khz. yesterday, 6/26, at 0356 UTC, and a bit weaker during recheck of the frequency at 0411 UTC.
I'm not sure if this is a Russian single letter beacon or not, as this frequency isn't on any of the lists of Russian naval beacons.
If it is a Russian beacon, I'm guessing the letter would have been an "M", as Magadan is the closest Russian port to the NW US.
