Very faint, barely above the noise. Heard the bottom of the hour Fox news with mention of vaccine, a life insurance commercial, and into the second half of a Dave Ramsey show. Appears to be a relay (or harmonic?) of a commercial broadcast station. Still going at 0050. Gone at 0058.

Harmonic seems unlikely since at that band it's the fifth harmonic, so you'd have a 1390 harmonic at 6950 and a 1400 harmonic at 7000. Mixing products might end up in random spots though. Are you near several different stations like you'd experience in an urban setting?
Some pirate relaying fox news is totally possible too, though that would be a boring thing to do with an illegal transmission.

Suburban setting near Washington D.C. Checked the Dave Ramsey site. He is on one AM station near me right now (1530), but they're not a Fox affiliate. Rest of his time slots around here appear to be afternoons. So I'm gonna go with this was an interesting choice by a pirate.

A pirate has been on 6970 for quite a while (weeks? a month or two?), often relaying an AM news network. So that is probably who you received. No other ID has been heard, to my knowledge.
