Title: WEAK - "Weak Radio" 6925 USB
Post by: Zoidberg on December 18, 2008, 0807 UTC
12/18/08, 6925 USB: Yup, that appears to be the actual station ID: WEAK, Weak Radio.  Heard only recently, each time with, appropriately, weak signals.

0321-0336 UTC: Music and voice just barely audible, but positive ID at 0336z. Op's deliberate enunciation helps: "W-E-A-K. Weak ... Radio."
0337z: ID again.
0351z: ID intelligible. Hearing music at fairly steady but extremely, umm... weak? signal strength.

SINPO - 14321, nothing else clearly audible except IDs.

Thanks, WEAK! Very funny stuff. Potentially a classic, alongside the recent "UNID Radio" shows.

(N. Central TX - Palstar R30C with fugloop)

One minute audio clip edited to include station ID's only: http://www.mediafire.com/?zmyngnajncy

After reviewing audio clip carefully it sounds like a woman's voice doing ID's, saying "W-E-A-K. Weak Radio. 15 milliwatts of weak power."  If they're really putting out only 15 milliwatts, they must have a helluva transmitting antenna!
