Post by: Sealord on June 11, 2012, 1352 UTC
Recorder catch:

6925 (rx in USB) SIO 322-323

Fair signal with some fading - played 'Devil's Lullaby' & then off with no ID heard.

03:10z-03:13z 'Devil's Lullaby'

Audio (complete tx): http://archive.org/download/ShortwaveOddsSodsTransmissions/Unid_pirate6925Am-usb0310z-0313z06-11-12.mp3

Received an email from the Op saying he was using a homebrew transmitter putting out a 35 watt carrier - 80 watts peak into a homebrew verticle antenna.

Thanks MD! :)

Aborted overnight recording due to heavy storm noise from Ioway.  Took a listen after I saw Sealord's post and Bam!  Devil's Lullaby very weak in the noise but definite.

Thanks Biker!
Thanks Sealord!

SDR recording catch, on until 0313z. The carrier strength was not bad, but the audio, what little there was, seemed very weak. I heard some muffled audio at the end, but that was about it.
