Title: Radio Jamba International 6940 AM
Post by: Zoidberg on June 25, 2012, 0252 UTC
6/25/12, 6940 AM, 0240z: Just barely audible through heavy QRN and QRM from adjacent ute/data, enough to copy IDs but not enough to identify any material.  Via east coast web tuner.

Been listening since 0228, interesting musical mix.  Finally caught ID at 0252.
Fair signal but fades really cutting into intelligibility.

Hello,

R. Jamba International heard in W. Europe at 0250-0335 UTC, on 6339,9 kHz AM mode
with IDs at 0252 and 0304 (and many others not heard clearly).

Jazz from the 1930's I think, big band era, clarinette soloist, etc...

Maybe "30 watts" announced, not sure about that.

Also UNID around 0500 on 6940 again, not the same kind of music, going to look around about that second one.

Ray

SDR recording catch, S9 on peaks, frequent static crashes from t-storms.
