I haven't heard it for months. It seems like it is back.
-
Conditions for beacons have been on crack lately.... long time no see then *POOF!*, they're back! 20 minutes later, *POOF!*, gone again ::) :D
Peace!

0858Z also hearing it on the west coast of B.C. only about an S1 but clearly audible...actual frequency closer to 2097.3 kHz
-
Coming in tonight about S2 into Northwest, Oregon.

I haven't been listening much lately but I did tune in "A" last night around 0100Z and it was there in the clear - not very strong but easy copy. I was plugged into the multiband dipole which goes down to 3.5 MHz - not ideal for that freq, but I copied it fine just the same.
Good listening, all!

I did not bother to end peak the transmatch it was Q5 copy...
I wonder how long it will last?

Who can't hear this Power Hog beacon...solid at 1230Utc this morning.
GF...
Nice beacon but not much of a challenge.

Even the tards with the Obama phones can probably hear it.
First letter of the Alphabet, it is good practice for them.

A means AZ.
38 watts output (about). Not mine, but I know all about it - it had to get a new p.a. and ident keying method, as the Monsoon t-storms and/or keying transient glitch kept zapping its high-pwr. mosfet p.a, so it got fixed last month and should blare away for a good while now.

Poor conditions this morning, but I can hear A, around 1050z.
-
So is it 38W or 15W? I know 3dB won't make a world of difference, but I have seen both power levels mentioned. Either way, it's QRO!
I like the fact that this "old timer" is still running - has been a long time....
-
it is NOW 38W. -v-
