A spacecraft orbiting Jupiter discovered an FM radio signal from Ganymede, one of the gas giant's moons. The discovery marks the first time a signal has been detected from Ganymede.

No word yet as to whether the FCC will investigate to see if the transmissions exceed the Part 15 field strength limits of 250 microvolts/meter at 3 meters.

Hmmm.....has anybody heard Toynbee Radio lately?

Ganymede, located in the neutral zone, has long been a favorite haunt of freebooter and space rogue pinto vortando.
Especially appealing is its total lack of extradition treaties with other worlds.
Anyway, it seemed like an ideal location for a pirate FM station out of reach of regulation.

Are they taking requests? Do they QSL?

Well, what I wanna' know is, since it's a new year, did it do a format change?

FM? They're pretty primitive... if they were broadcasting in C-QUAM, I'd be tuning in regularly.
