Title: UNID 6925AM *0138 - 0213*
Post by: jFarley on August 22, 2012, 0159 UTC

22 Aug 2012

Opened with Smithereens - "A Girl Like You" at very good level and nice audio.  Bluesy song by YL; poss Bonnie Raitt or someone similar?  Followed by several rockers with a steadily declining signal here amid some deep choppy fades.

0155 Hard to hear the music...right at the floor.
0202 Music popping up to good level from time to time; sounds great when it's peaking.  No ID heard.
0213 off without ID

Thanks!
It was hard to ID a lot of the tunes, but I liked what I heard: Xcellent Fine Music!

To quote JFarly
(Thanks!  It was hard to ID a lot of the tunes, but I liked what I heard.)

Signal came back up to S9 with excellent audio near the end of the broadcast.

Thanks for the show mystery pirate!

I can just tell he's in there on the west coast...catch bits of audio now and then between the (loud) static crashes

Recorder catch:

6925 AM (rx in USB) SIO 322-323

Fair to decent signal with some fading - show kicked off with Smithereens tune.  Signal also picked up a bit with broadcast.

Audio (01:38z-02:13z): http://archive.org/download/ShortwaveOddsSodsTransmissions/Unid_pirate6925Am-usb0138z-0213z08-22-12.mp3

Thanks! :)

SDR recording catch. Tough copy here, just a bit above the (high static) noise floor.
