Yep, I have had it for a few days now. Check out the posting in the Other board. No idea at all what it is.

I used to get a spur there from the religious broadcaster on 6875. Perplexed me for years until I got a bit of audio on top of the carrier.

This thing rana few seconds of RTTY or some other telemetry for a few minutes.  I also have had spurs from the commercial SW operations. One is there almost everynight on 6960 when 6875 is on.

I've heard RTTY and Milcom in that area before. With the equinox around the corner, I wonder if it's seasonal long path propagation?

I know RCI's EE broadcast to the West Coast on 6950 used to become audible east of the Rockies as fall arrived, then drop off as the season progressed towards winter.

Very weak here also, QSB. This is the first time I've tuned in to it so I don't know yet what times it is detectable here. I'll have to lsiten some more ...

Been there for some time now on my end. Peaks 10 over at times. Other times just in the noise.

I have been hearing this for quite some time. I mentioned it on #pirateradio once or twice but no one else was hearing it at the time.
I suspect that it is local to me as it is always s9 +10 day or night. I will be mobile today and will see if I can track it down.

It will be interesting to see what you find on this signal. Thanks

OK, after listening long enough, I can hear the periodic FSK as well.

The carrier disappeared at 0653z. It looks like it went off, vs fading out, but as the signal was getting weak at that time, it is possible it faded out.

After consulting with some folks in #wunclub, it sounds like this is a 300 baud 750 shift RTTY transmission, possibly from the UK. Although if mapleleaf is hearing it 24/7, I'm not sure if that fits a UK QTH.

I've been hearing this for sometime also. It's usually pretty strong here
in south central Pa. At certain times there's a data type signal that comes
up. It doesn't sound like 300 baud rtty to me but?? I will have to look at
it with a waterfall program like spectrum lab to see what it looks like.

Fading into GA at 2245

There was nothing to be heard today from the mobile. It is there now, at the typical strength. I need to be more methodical.

@ Mapleleaf - CKN has gone total buzzsaw this year, likely CFH would too?

Peace!

Just tuned it in for the first time. I have the frequency as 6916.6 and it's maybe S3, possibly S4. Was an empty carrier but now it has some really bizarre modulation that I can't even describe. Echo-y feedback kind of noise that ends with a more pronounced 1-second data burst, then back to empty carrier.

No signal here in GA, Too early..

There was a feedback thing on about 6943 last year. maybe more of the same signal>

There is slow speed CW being heard underneath the 6916.6 signal. The CW is weak, but definitely there. 2344z.
