CB runs about 10 mw into a dipole...located East of The Continental Divide some where high in the Rockies...
SOLAR ONLY. No Battery. I have been listening for it today and finally caught it
on the NUT SDR at 1801- 1805 utc on a long fade up...in fact it actually left a trace. Then it disappeared.
It went into action about two days ago.
FREQUENCY is 7956 kHz
It sends a dash about every sec. but sounds like a baby crying due to freq. shift.
Definitely not easy to DX.

Coming into KFS OMNI antenna with some weak fadups..at 2055 utc...I'd say thats pretty good.

AWESOME TO KNOW as every beacon put on weak or strong contributes to the HUF fun and to propagation research, too! Thanks for the beacon info - it's small power reminds me of MarinDit's second harmonic well heard but only about 5-10 mW ERP on 8193.75 kHz or so...
73 and will try for in the Owens Valley - MB

Been days since I have heard it...not a bad catch regarding a 4m-10mw beacon..

No luck catching it yet. Hopefully it is built well and will be on the air for a long time!

Which receiver? Omni or directional NUT SDRs?
-
Omni...when I'm listening on KFS it is always the omni antenna also.
Boy I was lucky to catch it there...it faded out and never came back.
