Caught at 0157 UTC, lost them due to fadeouts by 0207.
What sounded like country music, followed by a male announcer. SINPO 25221 into Vancouver, BC. Some peaks up to S-5, but extremely brief (band dies like a rock lately when the sun sets).
Eton E5, built-in antenna. Plugged in the external, but QRN killed the signal.
Possibly my first N.A. pirate catch? :)
Peace!

Didn't hear anything myself here in Texas at that time, but other folks logged Captain Morgan on 6925 USB between approx. 0130-0206 UTC. Check the FRN log for that slot to see if any of it rings a bell: http://www.frn.net/vines/Forum4/HTML/013232.html
Captain Morgan usually plays distinctive IDs and the Twilight Zone theme song in his mix. He's not the only pirate to use the Twilight Zone theme song, but he tends to use it more often. Along with his often warbly audio, drifty signal and tendency to sorta slam together partial songs, he's got a distinctive sound (that's a good thing - I get a kick out of his shows).

Hi Lex,
...Along with his often warbly audio, drifty signal...
YES! YES! YES!!!!
I was riding the E5's "fine tune" the whole time.
SWL since 1977 and this is my FIRST N.A. pirate catch! ;D ;D ;D ;D
Funny thing is I wasn't even trying... I was spinning down the dial to RHC on 6140 at the time when I caugt him.
Peace!
