Title: 570 AM Radio Reloj 11/17/12 0605 UTC
Post by: ff on November 17, 2012, 2033 UTC

Just like Chanter, I found last night's MW propagation to the south to be awesome.  Radio Reloj from Santa Clara Cuba fought with WMCA 570 for at least an hour at my QTH. This is an amazing logging, since I'm only about 150 miles from New York City.  Perfectly readable Spanish at times, and always that clock tick-tick-ticking away in the background.

Also a first for me at 0440: 1370 WTAB in Tabor City, NC.  This one is a little over 600 miles from me and according to the database, they only run 109 watts at night... lotsa fun!

Nice catch!  :)  I had somebody in Spanish with music on 570 that night, but never could get an ID.  It was too weak to hear any clock ticks, alas.  I've had the other two todapoderosos from Cuba - Rebelde on 710, Progreso on 880 - but not Reloj as yet.  Working on it.

I also got WKY out of Oklahoma City on 930 that evening, expecting it to be a Mexican local... nope!  I need to actively try for Reloj, since 570 is relatively clear here.
