"DDP" NDB, San Juan, Puerto Rico on 391 kHz.
My first beacon catch that wasn't in the next state over. I'm looking at you, RNB (363 kHz, NJ).
-
Nice catch on DDP. I caught that one as well back in February 2021 and I had to position the loop antenna just right otherwise OO from Oshawa, ON CA will overpower it. It as well transmits on 391. If you can hear SB (Sudbury) you should definitly be able to pick-up OO.
Let me know if you can pick-up TZ - Gibraltar Point Toronto Island ON on 257 kHz. It is about 5 miles from my place.

Thanks, SIGINT.
No luck on "TZ" unfortunately. But I stuck it in my "Check Back Later" memory bank.

Don't feel bad about it. The darn thing is practically in my back yard and I can barely hear it as well. I'm too close to it.
-
No problem hearing "TZ" in my location just north of Buffalo, NY, but "OO" crushes anything on 391 for me.
-
OO is a power house for me as well which makes receiving the Montreal and Maritime regions difficult. I usually have to fiddle with the loop antenna to get the right peak. Luckily it is on a rotator.
-
BTW no problem hearing "SB" Sudbury on 362 or "RNB" Millville- Rainbow on 363 at my location.
-
DDP booms in here when the propagation is right but it is an all or nothing affair.
Otherwise OO holds down the 391 spot (IIRC it runs less than 10 watts)... big signal for so little power.

Nothing but the best for a former secret special training school.

No ... just messing with all of you. The beacon is located at the airport near the Ontario Regiment (military), Ontario Regiment museum and the Royal Canadian Air Force Association. But do take the time to read about Camp X. It was located about 5 miles south of the beacon. You will be surprised. Hummmm.
