Heard the Death Valley Ditter 1400 utc. Advertized freq is 4089. Logged it today on 4090.405 so it appears to be moving around.

That much drift could indicate a remote, outdoor beacon.
Is there a site with updated info on these? The HF Beacon Society site is ancient ???
Peace!

The HF Beacon Society site is pretty up to date with operational information.
I try to maintain a list of beacons (including those not run by the Society) here:
http://hfunderground.com/wiki/High_Frequency_Beacons (http://hfunderground.com/wiki/High_Frequency_Beacons)
This site has some nice pictures of the SW desert beacons:

Thanks Chris!
The HF Beacon Society site is pretty up to date with operational information.
They didn't list all the ones that were being logged, so I thought it was out of date.
Of course, not all ops are coordinated through them.
Peace!

I have to chuckle about the http://highfrequencybeaconsociety.com
being anicent. I take no offense but let me explain something. The SW desert beacons
were established years ago. The High Frequency Beacon Society was developed to support
only the beacons that its group puts up and the goal is to support beacons
evolving across the West and into the east Coast The SW Beacon group and our group supports each other
by providing links to each others sites.
For the beacons listed on the High Freq. Beacon Society that web site will have the inital wave of info. relative to
its beacons before the SW desert group.
I hope this clears up any confusion.

Hi Beaconman,
Certainly no offense was intended. I'm far more addicted to beacon hunting than pirates :)
I made the post before reading Chris' wiki link.
Peace!
