Title: "One Radio" 6925 USB 2220 UTC 23 JUN 2022
Post by: Skipmuck on June 23, 2022, 2222 UTC
2220 UTC I have some threshold music deep in the noise here
2236 UTC I am hearing an OM speaking now, into what sounds like Break On Through by the Doors
2240 UTC "Looking Out My Back Door"-CCR
2247 UTC "Long Train Running"-Doobie Brothers
2256 UTC OM with deep voice ID'd but I didn't catch the first word. "This is ? Radio", then something about "Since 1962"?, followed by "Fortunate Son"-CCR
2300 UTC "Spirit In the Sky"-Norman Greenbaum
2307 UTC OM again but no copy here
2311 UTC "Stayin Alive"-Bee Gees
2315 UTC ""September"-Earth Wind & Fire
2317 UTC Another deep fade into the noise  :(
2318 UTC "Jump"-Van Halen

Thanks to Bali_Frank for the link to his recording of the ID!
Thanks to One Radio for the tunes! Sadly, reception here was up and down amidst the noise.

6925 USB

Weak signal here just above the noise at first, but slowly improved with time.

22:31z 'T.N.T.' - AC/DC
22:34z 'Manic Monday' - Bangles
22:36z "..this is (?) Radio.." - too weak to make out, but could tell it was a deep male voice
22:37z 'Break On Through' - Doors
22:40z 'Lookin' Out My Back Door' - C.C.R.
22:45z another ID, but still couldn't make it out
22:46z 'Long Train Runnin' - Doobie Brothers
22:49z 'Down On The Corner' - C.C.R.
22:56z "..this is (?) Radio serving the coast since 19(?)3.."
22:59z another ID...hard to make out with the low voice (reminds me of trying to ID Pigmeat :) )
23:02z 'Spirit In the Sky' - Norman Greenbaum
23:05z 'Don't Stop Me Now' - Queen
23:07z another ID, but it didn't sound as low this time...still no luck.
23:10z 'Stayin Alive' - Bee Gees
23:16z 'September' - Earth Wind & Fire
23:18z 'Jump' - Van Halen
23:22z 'Space Oddity' - David Bowie
23:27z ID (6x with higher pitch?) "..you're listening to One Radio, serving the coast since 1963.." & Off.

2328 - Sounded to me like: "You're listening to One Radio, serving the coast since 1963." repeated several times by a male voice. The voice sounded a bit like they had been inhaling helium and slightly mechanical.
Off the air immediately after the announcement.

Fair signal on the Elida, Ohio Kiwi SDR for the final 10 minutes or so.
