Title: Album AM's, 846kHz, site and antennas look.

Boomer FWD this site to me. He suspected that this dude had seen my AM1620 antenna, with capacitive Tophat. Huh... Who knows, but transmitting on 846kHz, you need as much help as you can get with a short antenna. Still, neat to see how other alternative broadcasts are getting out there.   http://www.albumam.nl/

I've seen instructions on how to build a much shorter one of those in an ARRL Antenna Handbook from the mid-60's for working the top band. It looked like something ladies used to hang the laundry on in those days except with an aluminum plate on the ground to attach all the radials to, and a big honking tuning capacitor that connected the radials to the ground isolated antenna. I bet it kept the worms warm.
