Does anyone know where I can get my radio repaired?
Here's the problem, I can't fully insert my external antenna plug into the jack. If I do the signal is very weak, if its loosely inserted only part way it has a great signal - then it can fall out easy. I don't know why this happened. I like to use this radio along with a Eton Elite Executive to record shows on my Sangean DAR-101.
Is there some way of rewiring the antenna plug to correct this or do I need a new antenna jack in the radio?
Thanks for any suggestions

Did the jack work properly before? If it's the first time you have used it you may just have the wrong kind of jack. The ant jack I use on my portable is a tip, sleeve (TS). There several different kinds, tip, ring, sleeve (TRS) etc.
A little reading up on the net should help out if it's just a jack problem.

Yes it did work properly before.

Ok, hopefully it's not the radio and maybe the jack just had a wire pull off. Someone here should be more helpful and good luck.

Did you get the optional three year warranty and are you still covered by it? If so, you can just ship it back to them. Sangean has stateside offices to handle this stuff. If not there's a company in Canada that specializes in upgrading and repairing 909's. I think it's called Radio World? It's been years since I've seen one of their ad's though.

Here´s another place to scan through to find repair facilities. It´s what I did to get TOKO IF filters swapped-out of a Kenwood TM-D710A rig, since I´m not set-up to work on SMT tech. Good luck. https://www.eham.net/reviews/view-category?id=26

All,
I ordered a stereo plug extension from Amazon: Monoprice 6ft 3.5mm Stereo Plug/Jack M/F Cable https://www.monoprice.com/Product?p_id=648
Cut it and wired the tip wire in the cord to the ring wire of the plug, soldered the braided strands and left the other 2 wires unattached , now its receiving fine with the lug fully inserted.
Thanks to all
