Variable carrier around 6979.8 kHz. Weak S7 with the K3FEF KiwiSDR.
0127 UTC-Instrumental Music, too weak to identify
0137 UTC-Next instrumental music
-
0127 UTC I'm hearing piano music in the noise
0128 UTC A blast of utility xmsn.....
0129 UTC ute QRT'd....classical piano song again
0214 UTC Still going strong weakly...kind of reminds me of the music at a funeral parlor :-\
-
Weak instrumental music, S3 to occasionally S4. Mostly poor copy.
-
01:51 I am receiving the weak signal in WNY and can make out the piano.
-
SINPO=13221
205- Light and soft piano music, but can't ID it.
-
Heard 0117-0246 UTC on the SDR recording, generally weak
I have a recording here if the op would like to send me an eQSL ;D https://radiohobbyist.org/blog/mypics/6980.0%20AM-17-Sep-2022-01.17.14.mp3

S5 with the PY2-81502 KiwiSDR in Brazil. Distorted, off frequency, and the carrier is unstable. Not heard at 2023 UTC, ON by 2025 UTC. QRM from Peskies. Seems to be the station heard in North America last night.
2025 UTC-Unknown instrumental music with piano, distorted
2057 UTC-Piano music still going
2139 UTC-Still going
2207 UTC-Now on 6950 kHz but modulation is even worse
2215 UTC-Now heard on the K3FEF KiwiSDR
2334 UTC-GONE
Not DSB, poor Amplitude Modulation. When somebody can find the frequency were SSB sounds good for this station (DSB is compatible with SSB) please let me know.

on 6979.83
2025 trace (trying to get it out of the mud)
2028 music, extra weak, 2042
2130 now just weak, some endless minimalist music, 2142
-
same frequency, same kind of music, heard in Europe around 2030 UT
-
2110 Very good signal on the Pardinho, SP - Brazil KiwiSDR. I see the same carrier offset as the transmission last night, so probably the same station.
2130 Carrier direct here in the USA. Perhaps a tiny bit of audio?
2152 Off - The signal was an easy SIO 333 or perhaps even better
2155 Possibly QSY'd to 6950 in DSB mode?
2157 Yes, same music over and over. They QSY'd. They are off frequency which does not help.
-
2147 UTC Solid audio now, at least as strong as the peaks last night! Same somber piano musical composition. S5 and the audio sounds good here.
2153 UTC OFF...seems to have QSY'd to 6950...DSB? I can't fine tune it now
Here's my recording of direct reception from 2147-2153 UTC:

Any chance of an ID or email address?

This is the Brazilian Pirate from 6980 that QSY'd and went to DSB mode: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,102021.0.html
-
SINPO=24232
2207- Instrumental industrial rock sounding music.
-
Good reception
2208 Unid rock music
-
2210 I can't tune in DSB but getting audio of some kind, weird music. Fairly weak.
2326 Still there with same music loop, sounds something like the Jaws theme. A little stronger, above the noise.
-
I.ve got audio in USB

It’s this station, moved frequency: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,102021.0.html
It doesn’t look or sound like Double Sideband Suppressed Carrier to me, just very poor Amplitude Modulation. I have observed that Brazilian pirates often have poor AM modulation.
-
2245 UTC strange music shazam unable to id
2250 UTC Repeating song ??
S-6 via W3HFU, using shazam to id songs.

It could be a case of negative modulation with them. Crank up the audio source and think that will fix it and the worse it's going to sound.
