Title: Genesis G59
Post by: Beerus Maximus on March 10, 2013, 2307 UTC
Cruising Sparky's ham blog, I found this. The Genesis G59, which hails from Australia. It's a transceiver, and a kit, at a pretty reasonable price.

It appears according to the Yahoo Group the G59 is no longer available. The G11 replaced it. Also these SDRs appear to be HAM band only for the most part. No general coverage due to filtering.

Correction:: It does have general SW coverage. Here are some specs. Seems it will receive down to 1500/KHz, but bottom line from the group, it ain't very good below 1.000 KHz, but if you have the 600/m section installed it is good from about 400 khz - 600 khz. Seems it does make a very good SW general coverage receiver from post I've read.

There will be NO gaps in filter coverage!

As follows:
Filter: ( in MHZ )

1)  1.5 – 2.5
2)  2.5 – 4.7
3)  4.7 – 8 .0
4)  8.0 – 12.0
5)  12.0 – 19.0
6)  19.0 – 34.0
7)  34.0 – 59.0
